It weighs about 3.5 lbs/1540g

I cannot carry this lens all day, I need help finding a tutorial on how to mount the lens and body to a tripod. I do realize that it doesn't go on the body's screw part but on the lens. But where at? (This is why I'm asking for one.) All I can seem to find is reviews on the lens and I know, they're all praising it.

So... help, please?
